ARTIST APPLICATIONS FOR 2011 CAIRNS BLUES FESTIVAL WILL OPEN 1 SEPTEMBER 2010

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

1.  APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY BE ACEPTED VIA THE EMAIL ADDRESS PROVIDED ABOVE

2.  MUST HAVE A WEBSITE - MYSPACE PAGE IS ACCEPTABLE - LIVE VIDEO WILL BE GIVEN PREFERED CONSIDERATION

3. MUST HAVE A CD RELEASED

4. PERFORMANCE IS TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 60% ORIGINAL CONTENT

5. INTERNATIONAL ACTS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED IF THEY ARE IN AUSTRALIA AT THE TIME OF THE FESTIVAL.

We do not provide Visa's or international flights for foreign artists.

6. MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE

7. MUST PROVIDE A QUOTE FOR A 1 HOUR PERFORMANCE WITH APPLICATION-

Quotation should incuded all travel costs to and from Cairns Airport.  We do not provide flights.

Transfers will be provided to and from airport and festival grounds.

2 nights twin share accomodation will be provided - (Extra nights or single rooms will be at the cost of artists)

Breakfast will be provided each morning at the hotel - BBQ Lunch will be provided backstage on festival day only.

Please provide your best price to increase your chances for selection as we are a small budget festival of approx 2000 patrons.

 

ONLY APPLICANTS WHO QUALIFY FOR THE ABOVE CRITERIA NEED APPLY

Note - Special considerations may be made at the discretion of the selection committee for locally based amature acts
